Edward ‘Scott’ Willis

About Me:

Scott is a results-driven thought leader with 20 years of banking and financial services experience executing LMI residential mortgage, small business development, OCC risk regulation and compliance, project management, and relationship management strategies with the reputation for exceeding performance goals while collaboratively engaging internal and external business partners to drive a world-class customer experience.

Scott joined Manna Inc. from the U.S.  Bank National Strategic Markets and Affordable Lending Team; where he was responsible for driving the East Division’s retail business development and OCC’s regulatory compliance strategies to accelerate wealth building outcomes for Low to Moderate Income, First Time Homebuyer, and Multi-Cultural consumer segments for an 11 Region market by expanding access to homeownership. Prior to joining U.S Bank,  Scott served as a Senior Regional Community Development Manager with HSBC North America; where he led the bank’s CRA  strategy in collaboration with line of business partners  that incorporated  LMI residential mortgage, small business lending, community and retail service, and community development loan and investment targets  for 32 retail branches between the Philadelphia and South Florida markets that contributed to an OUTSTANDING CRA examination rating from 2015 to 2017.

Prior to joining HSBC North America, Scott worked as a financial and business services consultant with Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG): where he led learning-based domestic and international engagements with growth-oriented companies seeking expertise on Net Promoter Score (NPS) customer experience  strategies based on his bank implementation experience with the J.D. Power Partnership Program. Prior to joining the GLG network, he held Regional Program Management positions with JP Morgan Chase Bank, First Horizon Bank, AIG United Guaranty, supporting OCC risk regulation and compliance as well as high LTV credit risk strategies to expand affordable homeownership for the Eastern US Market.  

During his career in banking and financial services, Scott has been recognized for his work performance and volunteer engagement efforts by U.S Bank (2021 Silver Shield Award), ULI Washington DC (FY 2020 Path To Inclusion Fellow),  HSBC North America (2018 Mid Atlantic Business Partner of the Year), Venture Café Miami (2018 Innovator Spotlight Award), JP Morgan Chase Bank (2011 Leaders Club), and First Horizon Bank (2005 Top Performer Award) for the delivery of national wealth building strategies and program outcomes focused on  expanded access to capital for LMI and communities of color.

Born and raised in Columbus Ohio, Scott obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from Kentucky State University and completed dual masters’ degrees in Urban and Regional Planning (Concentration: Economic Development) and Public Policy (Concentration: Urban Studies) from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning. In April 2021, Scott completed a 24-week McKinsey & Co. Management Accelerator Program for high-performing mid-career professionals.
